Peace-of-mind medical evacuation & travel assistance for trips near or far — not insurance, but the help you need when a serious emergency disrupts your plans.
Donna Peterson, CTA:
“I recommend EA+. I appreciate knowing that if I have a medical emergency while traveling, I’ll be taken care of by EA+—getting appropriate medical care and home safely—without paying out of pocket for the transportation home services.”
Emergency Assistance Plus (EA+) is an annual membership (see below to get $25 discount) that coordinates and pays for emergency medical transportation and logistics when you’re hospitalized while traveling. Think bedside-to-bedside coordination, medical evacuation to an appropriate facility, help getting you home once you’re stable, and support for your traveling companions. It works worldwide and can fill the gap your health or trip insurance may not cover.
What EA+ Does (and Doesn’t) Do
- Does: Arrange and pay for medical evacuation, transportation home after hospitalization, return of remains, help for companions/children, and assistance services like medical monitoring, message relay, document replacement, and more.
- Does Not: Pay your hospital or doctor bills, first-responder ambulance to the first hospital, or general trip cancellation/interruption. It’s not health insurance or trip insurance.
Who Is It For?
Anyone who travels—road trips, cruises, tours, international vacations, or occasional business travel—who wants a safety net if a serious medical event happens away from home. EA+ has no age-based price changes for individual/family plans and accepts members with pre-existing conditions (with standard limitations such as not traveling against medical advice).

Key Benefits Members Appreciate

Good to Know (Fine-Print Highlights)

- Not health insurance: hospital/doctor bills aren’t paid by EA+.
- All services must be arranged by EA+ (expenses you book on your own usually aren’t covered).
- U.S. residents only; Washington state residents must be 100+ miles from home for eligibility.
